New Triad for Collaborative Arts Board of Directors



New Triad is governed by a professional board whose members receive no compensation for their services as directors, and is represented for legal matters by Kirkland & Ellis, who provide their services entirely pro bono.

Dr. Arlene Shrut, President, Director of Programs

President, Founder and Artistic Director of New Triad for Collaborative Arts. A faculty member of The Juilliard School and Manhattan School of Music, Arlene was honored as inaugural "Coach of the Year" in 2003 by Classical Singer Magazine. She coached for 14 summers at the Aspen Opera Theater Center, offering classes in Mozart and German operas. Recent festivals include Atlantic Music Festival, Vancouver International Song Institute, Operafest on Martha's Vineyard and Songfest in Malibu. She serves as official pianist for international opera competitions and galas sponsored by The Loren Zachary Society, National Wagner Association, The Gerda Lissner, Licia Albanese Puccini, Giulio Gari, Fritz and Lavinia Jensen, and Marcello Giordani Foundations.

Ruth Weniger, Vice President and Director of Strategy and Marketing

Vice President, holds a Bachelor of Music in Opera and Vocal Performance from Eastman School of Music of University of Rochester. Founder and President of Powerful Business Strategies, LLC (www.PoweredByStrategy.com) provides business development consulting, strategic planning and executive coaching to businesses and individuals across diverse business sectors. With over 25 years of executive and consulting experience, her focus is on helping high performance clients achieve business excellence while maintaining their personal balance and perspective. Ms. Weniger's clients include executives from Fortune 500 companies and entrepreneurs, business professionals as well as not-for-profit leaders. She serves clients representing health care, transportation, corporate training, biotechnology, information technology, retail, education, manufacturing, finance, fashion, visual arts, veterinary medicine and automotive industries.

George C. Doomany, Treasurer, Director of Finance

Treasurer, has had more than 25 years of experience in private equity investment, currently as Managing Director of Andlinger and Company, and previously as Managing Director of Mandarin Partners and BT Capital Partners. Mr. Doomany has served as a member of the Board of Directors of numerous companies, both public and private, and has served as Chairman or Chief Financial Officer in many instances. Mr. Doomany holds an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Music from the University of Rochester. Mr. Doomany is a CPA.

Dr. Kate Nesbit, Director of Multimedia

received her B.A. in Music from Oberlin College and went on to live and perform in Stuttgart, Germany before returning to study at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. There, she received both Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees. Studying under highly acclaimed mezzo-soprano, Jan DeGaetani, Dr. Nesbit began performing works from the contemporary literature as well as from opera. As a resident of NYC for 28 years, she has performed a range of operatic roles both as a mezzo and as a soprano. Dr. Nesbit now resides in New Hampshire and sits on the Board of Directors of New Triad for Collaborative Arts as well as Assistance Canine Training Services.

Jerry Korobow, Esq., Director of Legal Affairs

is a solo practice attorney with a rich history in music and performing arts. A former social worker, Jerry has also contributed as a public school music teacher, actor and night club manager. He is currently the Cantor of Temple Am Echad and brings a variety of not-for-profit experiences to the New Triad Board.

Gina Leonetti Boonschoft, Director of Development

Director of Development, is a graduate of the prestigious Directors Guild of America's Assistant Director Training Program. Gina subsequently worked for twenty years on films, television and commercials, mostly in the New York City area. She currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the West Side Campaign Against Hunger, a NYC emergency food pantry which also supplies social services to their clients. Gina is the mother of two daughters, both majoring in Vocal Performance.
